Our roots run deep in the industry. Founder Dan grew up working in his family’s liquid waste trucking business, Tankman, gaining firsthand experience that shaped his passion for engineering and trucks.
Coupled with his engineering trade qualifications, Dan’s knowledge has made Danz Engineering a leader in building specialised vehicles that can handle the hard yards. As Dan puts it, “From the chassis up,” we design and produce tanks, hydraulic systems, pumping, flushing, and excavation solutions that exceed expectations.

What began in 2008 as a small maintenance contracting business in a home shed has grown into a thriving operation. With the philosophy that “goldfish grow to the size of their bowl,” Dan has scaled Danz Engineering to meet increasing demand. Today, the operation spans two Greerton sites: one focused on manufacturing tanks and providing fleet maintenance, and the other dedicated to truck assembly, ensuring efficiency and quality at every stage.
In recent years Danz Engineering has advanced bringing new capabilities like in-house CAD design, and the launch of innovative services like truck rentals - for when one of the fleet has to be off the road.
Danz Engineering are committed to building a strong team and a brighter future, investing in apprenticeships, team development, and smarter, more efficient processes. At Danz Engineering, every vehicle we produce comes with a full maintenance program and training to ensure our clients are set up for success.
Looking forward, the team are excited to expand further, continuing to design and build in New Zealand for New Zealand - and beyond.
